Motivation

This site got started because I was searching the wide world web and could not find a free site that provided time analysis on Australian races. There were many sites that offered the information for a fee. Recreational punters do not want to pay for such a service and they were therefore severaly disadvantaged. I have put together my own database of races since 2004 and I have closely analysed tracks, conditions, barriers and weight and have come up with my own set of adjusted times. I publish these to help those who do not have the expertise or the time to create their own database and analyse the data.

The problem with most races is that the horses have either not met before or they have run on various distances. A handicapper needs to somehow compare these times to determine which horses have the ability to run the quickest time. To do this the horses past races need to be adjusted to the current conditions.
